How To Give Money To Higher Education
Are you rich? Like, really rich? Do you want to use your excess money to help higher education in this country?
Here's one suggestion: This is the right way to do it. This is the wrong way.

I couldn't agree more, but at least Harvard isn't building things with it.
I give 5$ a year to my well-endowed undergraduate alma mater. It keeps them from calling / mailing me crap all year. Now I feel guilty. :(
I give a similar amount to my well-endowed (well, less well-endowed then yours, but still) undergraduate institution. I like to think I give enough to cover the cost of mailing me the alumni magazine, which seems fair.
